Today I will review WMH3205XVS. I manage a soup kitchen downtown and unfortunately the combination microwave oven that was in use blew out. But it was only a matter of time for the little old guy. With less than 1 cubic foot of heating space and an eight year old mechanism, it just couldn’t handle heating up multiple food items five times a week. It was a really good size, about 2 cubic feet inside. This was perfect for us. Instead of having to heat up foods in many smaller containers, we could actually fit a whole casserole dish in there. Now we’re able to prepare and heat up the food faster than before. It also heats through evenly, with no cold spots. The microwave is very powerful. I think it would be a sufficient microwave for commercial use as well, since our soup kitchen has the high demand of a commercial establishment. Reliable and powerful appliances are a must. It’s a wonder that we lasted as long as we did with our old model. I’m hoping this one will double in longevity, if not more.
This Microwave Comes With Many Great Features
Another great feature of WMH3205XVS microwave would be the 6th sense sensor cooking. Not having to think about the weight and quantity of the item, as well as how long to cook it really saves time. All you have to do is put whatever you want cooked or heated into the microwave and push a button. The microwave itself will calculate the mass, weight and length of time needed for the food to cook through. I’ve personally tried this feature many times, and each time I’m surprised of the outcome. The food is perfectly done. It’s like having an extra cook in the kitchen.
The CleanRelease Interior
The inside of Whirlpool WMH3205XVS has a CleanRelease interior, which makes it easy to clean up any spills or splatters no matter how hard or stuck on they may seem. You don’t have to scrub or spray chemicals, which could potentially get on the food items. Since the interior is made up of non-stick material, all you have to do is get a wash rag and wipe it clean.
The Hidden Vent – A Nice Bonus
This Whirlpool microwave’s hidden vent is also a nice bonus that we use on a daily basis. It helps to minimize smoke and smells that occur when food is cooking. The only thing about it is that it can get a little loud, but that’s no problem in our kitchen since everyone else can be just as loud. So we can easily drown out the buzzing of the fan. I’m not so sure in a regular kitchen though.
Aside from the exhaust fan, you have the AccuSimmer cycle which is ideal for sauces, staged cooking, steam cooking, autocook, defrost, and the soften and melt cycle. It’s truly a versatile piece of equipment and would make a great addition to any busy kitchen.
